Have you ever wondered why they call it a 404 error in the first place? Fun fact - according to Google a "404 error" is called that because it originates from the early days of the internet when the first web servers were located in Room 404 at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), and when a request couldn't be found, it was essentially like saying "file not found in room 404"; thus, the code "404" became synonymous with a "page not found" error on the web.
